The official website for Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) Forward Blake Griffin is now powered by Platformic. 2009 NBA Draft #1 pick overall is in the midst of a stellar rookie campaign, with an NBA All Star selection and 2011 NBA Slam Dunk championship under his belt.
In conjunction with FOX Sports and their design partner, Athlete Interactive, Platformic was selected as the CMS to power www.blakegriffin.com, the official web site of Blake Griffin.
Platformic's "Online Web Development Environment" provided an agile environment for creating a robust, interactive website. Platformic toolsets were specifically created for www.blakergriffin.com, including a new social media tool that provides visitors the lastest posts from Griffin's Facebook and Twitter pages automatically. The site also leverages the video elements from the FOX regional website, www.foxsportswest; as well as video elements from youtube and other social media outlets.
Griffin had a renowned high school career at Oklahoma Christian School, winning state titles each of his four years under his father who was the head coach. He played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma Sooners and was awarded numerous accolades in his second year including the Naismith College Player of the Year, Oscar Robertson Trophy and the John Wooden Award. Griffin left college after two seasons to enter the 2009 NBA Draft where he was selected first overall by the Clippers. He missed the entire 2009–10 season due to surgery on his broken left kneecap, which he injured during the final pre-season game. He made his NBA debut as a rookie the following season and was selected to play in the All-Star Game and was the winner of the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
